I’d like you to read those last 3 items again. If you are an experienced affiliate, you already understand the uniqueness of this program and probably have a few questions popping in your head to check the fine print and make sure this is the real deal.  If you don’t understand the significance, let me spell it out clearly.

Aside from the high quality of our products, the first program above is pretty typical on the internet.  People like us pay commissions to affiliates who run websites.  These affiliates typically choose products that they believe offer a good value for their visitors and recommend them or post advertisements.  When a visitor clicks a link to that product’s sales page, it forwards a special code.  If the person buys the product, that code is logged, and the affiliate is paid a commission.  On hard goods, this commission may be as low as 5-7%.  On downloadable products, the commissions are higher (typically 30-50%).

Here is where the similarity stops.  In addition to product commissions, I also offer commissions on my services.  For a number of reasons, there are a precious few coaching companies who offer a commission to affiliates for services.  But wait… It gets better!  We continue to pay affiliates a commission for every coaching session, as long as that client remains with us.  Our coaching packages vary, but two sessions per month is fairly typical.  Are you doing the math?  This means that a client who signs up for 3 months of private coaching will earn you $450!  That’s quite a nice back end.

Our commission structure is similarly high paying for group coaching, but with an added benefit.  We offer an extremely generous bonus for completely filling a group.  How does this work?  Let me give you a typical example.  Assume you have a list of 1,000 subscribers, who are business owners or professionals.  You contact me to spend an hour talking on the phone about coaching.  I record the conversation, cut it into (4) 15 minute segments and send them to you.

You post one of these to your group each week, along with a special offer for 2 free sessions with a 12 month program. Assuming just a 1% conversion from this small list, you will fill a class.  In most cases, this will mean that you will earn $15,000 at the end of 30 days ($50 per sessions x 24 sessions x 10 people + $3,000 bonus).

There are, obviously, a few minor exceptions.  These are spelled our very specifically in our affiliate materials.  I can sum it up by saying that you get paid if and when we get paid.  Rarely is this an issue.  Be sure to contact us if you plan to do fill a group, because we have to set a special session and start date for the group.

I offer your readers/viewers/clients a simple and effective way to sample coaching firsthand.  You can offer your readers a free 15 minute Success Reboot coaching session.  What good is this?  Go to my homepage, click the menu for Sessions, then coaching fees.  You’ll see that I charge $280 for a 45 minute coaching session.

A quick bit of math will tell you that I’m giving away $75.00 of services to anyone who is interested.

Why do I do all this? It’s simple.  I make the payout big for you.  I know the kind of motivation this creates and I know that it brings traffic.  I know that my service is in demand and it sells.  I also know that my clients are attorneys and executives.  These people can be expensive to reach in large numbers, so I’m willing to pay very well for the introduction.  I also understand that my services aren’t cheap. So, I’m allowing people to have a sample for free.

Why don’t the majority of other coaching firms offer this? There are two main reasons.  Verification and Reach.  None of the major affiliate networks support services.  They’re only interested in products.  If you want to reach a large group of affiliates, you have to play with one of these “big boy” affiliate networks.  Most firms are not willing to or able to do the marketing necessary to reach affiliates on their own.  Instead, they register with the “big boys” and wait for the affiliates to start rolling in.

Most often, when you see affiliate programs for coaching services, it is through a “coaching network” of some sort.  This just means that coaches sign up with a website to advertise their services there and serve as a host to some extent.  There are several reasons that I prefer to deal directly with affiliates.  Firstly, having a go between means cutting out another slice of the pie.  I would have to reduce commissions to affiliates.  I don’t want to do this.  Why?  Well, obviously, this reduces your incentive.  Also, I feel this creates too many “layers” and the whole process becomes less personal.  My entire business model revolves around having a small, select group of people who can reach a small, select group of people.

I don’t mind the marketing, because I know it will allow me to reach people and make them an offer that other coaching firms can’t possibly make.  If you’re reading this, it’s not by accident.  It is because I have spent a significant amount of time and money to reach the best affiliates and make an offer that is unique to my market.

How is this different?

Well, 80% of affiliates will sell a competitor’s product, simply because they don’t even know that I exist.  On the other hand, the smart affiliate (that’s you) will sell my product, because it will make him several hundred dollars more profit.  Why?  Because after someone buys my competitors product, the only additional profit the affiliate will make is IF they have a back end product and IF that back end product pays a commission.

The other difference is simply the unbelievable quality of our coaching.  Aside from my extensive qualifications, we bring an extensive network of experts to our group coaching program.  Most of my competitors teach every session of their group coaching themselves.  I do half of the coaching and team up with our “Circle of Experts” for the other half.  These industry pros cover a wide range of topics.  Our experts are in constant rotation, but many of their bios are available on the site.  You’ll notice the words Harvard,JD, and Author quite a bit.

Why services are great for you…

Selling a $40 product is one thing, but convincing someone to hand over $200 on the internet without seeing, touching, and smelling that product is tough sale.  That’s where services come in and that is what makes our affiliate program unique.

My business model is different from every other coaching firm on the internet. Instead of picking up as many affiliates as possible and working on quantity; I keep a laser tight focus on a small select group that I can count on to send me qualified prospects and not waste my time.

Because I know I have a solid lead, I am willing to offer that person a free 15 minute coaching session.  What does that do?  It takes the pressure off the customer to wonder whether this product is worth the money or not.  It eliminates the risk to the client.  Eliminating risk for the client boosts sales through the roof.  This level of efficiency is important to our business model, because it leaves enough room to pay YOU an above average commission over the lifetime of each referral.

Services are different

In a product scenario, if a person is happy with the product, they still have to wait a week for that back-end product to arrive in the mail (you don’t expect most people to pay $200 for something they can download, do you?).  Then the customer has to worry that the first CD will be great and the other six will be a bunch of worthless junk, copied from other programs they’ve already heard.  What’s the effect of this?  The majority just won’t buy the upsell.  It’s not worth the chance to them.  They’ve been disappointed too many times.  On the other hand, if you offer these same people a free consultation and  make it clear that they can hang up the phone at any point, their risk has just dropped off the map.  The obvious result is a big increase in back-end sales conversions.

There is one other reason, why other coaching companies first stick to the “big” affiliate networks and therefore don’t include commissions for services.  Not being able to use the “big” affiliate providers means that we have to run our affiliate software ourselves.  So what?  Verification. This means there is no third party to audit our reports and make sure that we are paying out fair commissions to our affiliates.

This increases risk.  As any seasoned investor knows, a smart increase in calculated risk can result in a dramatic increase in profits.  I think of our affiliate program as an investment account.  I set up the software to keep track of referrals and purchases automatically, I monitor to make sure it’s working correctly, then I leave it alone and trust that it will pay off over time.

Trust but Verify

I suggest a similar method to affiliates.  Try our program.  Give it a fair chance.  Once you have tested a few things and have figured out how to get your conversions up, you will see profit.  Track outgoing links from your site and compare to your affiliate commissions over time.  Since we aren’t able to provide 3^rd party verification, we provide as many reports as possible, to help you do your own verification.

Over time, I know you’ll see the huge financial advantage to this unique approach.  At that point, it becomes a no brainer.  Who needs 3^rd party reports coming in to make them feel good, when they can check their paypal account at the end of the month and see that we’re a much better investment.  Yes.  Smart, calculated risk still pays off.

Free coaching sessions – Another powerful marketing tool for our affiliates

Another big advantage with our program is your ability to offer the opportunity for a free coaching session.  How do you use this? Give it out to your readers, send it out on your newsletter, post it on your blog, include it on an article you write about a related topic, add it to your email’s signature line, email it to your colleagues, etc.

Either way, the numbers can be dramatic.  Assume you provide this offer to a small list of 1,000 email subscribers.  They search the internet and discover that the value of what you are offering for free is really $75.00, so they fill out the questionnaire we provide to you.  Only 2% of the subscribers may respond and qualify as good potential clients for us.  Of those 2%, about half decide to sign up for 3 months of private coaching services (2 per month is typical).  Let’s stop and do the math again… That remaining 1% represents 10 clients with a referral earnings of $450 each.  That equals $4,500 from a one-time mailing to a small list.

For someone with a 5,000 person list and the marketing skills to turn a 4% conversion, the same math works out to a staggering $90,000 payout over the following three months… and we’re still talking about a minimal effort.  The best part is the nature of our services.  It just breeds success stories that can easily become case studies and fuel for additional conversions.  It’s an amazing cycle.
